In a world where most grocery stores rely on "Just In Time Inventory" the slightest disruption can prevent food from making it to store shelves. A typical food retailer keeps enough food for 3 days to maximize efficiency and decrease waste. Storing an abundance of food can be difficult for some and hunting/trapping is not always an option either.

Being able to identify food options outside your home will be vital if food becomes scarce and your options become limited.
